God We Trust hereby bestows "The Cup of Wrath" on University of Minnesota professor Paul Z. Meyers. Myers, a self-described
liberal atheist, urged his students to steal communion wafers from Catholic churches. He then desecrated one of the hosts
with a rusty nail and berated Christians on his blog. Meyers is reported to have ranted, "You would not believe
how many people are writing to me, insisting that these horrible little crackers (they look like flattened bits of styrofoam)
are literally pieces of their god. [I hope] Jesus' tetanus shots are up to date."
Meyers, a biology professor who specializes in studying zebra fish, the tiny fresh water fish found in home aquariums, also
declared that "nothing is sacred," including, we assume, the lives of his fellow human beings.
The website of the state funded University of Minnesota linked to Meyers' hate-filled blog until irate Americans shamed
the university into removing the advertisement.
For his adolescent antics, his hate-filled
rants aimed at his colleagues, friends, relatives and students who believe in God, and his utter disregard for any sense of
professorial decorum, Paul Z. Meyers has earned himself a full draught from the Cup of Wrath.
