Poll Says Americans Want A Religious President A recent national public opion poll conducted by CBS News confirms what In God We Trust has maintained
all along. The United States has a unique religious heritage and its citizens want its leaders to reflect and protect
that heritage.
According to the survey, even 58% of Democrats say that having a President who is
religious is either very or somewhat important to them.

Texas Adds "Under God" to State Pledge The State of
Texas has taken a positive step forward in recognizing the importance of God in the lives of ordinary citizens by adding the
phrase "under God" to its state pledge of allegiance.
Students in Texas are required to recite both the national and state pledges before they begin each day. In God
We Trust has supported these efforts in Texas and applauds the efforts of state legislators and the governor.
Supporters Stand Up to the Left
In God We Trust has received over 73,000 completed surveys as part of its National
Survey on the role of God in American public life.
Overwhelming majorities of respondents believe that God has an important role to play in American public life and that our
nation and its laws were founded on, and today guided by, traditional Judeo-Christian values. Furthermore, strong majorities also support the display of religious symbols
on public property and believe that America has been harmed by left-wing efforts to limit expression of religion. The National In God We Trust Survey project is a massive effort to reach
millions and millions of members of the "silent majority" and convince them to stand up and be counted.
