Army Soldiers’ "Free Day Away" Protested

Americans United for the Separation of Church and State is demanding that the U.S. Army’s "Free Day Away" program for soldiers training at Fort Leonard Wood be halted. The program, which amounts to granting the troops a vacation day away from normal duties, includes an optional religious program at a local Baptist church.

Greg Epstein, the "humanist chaplain" of Harvard University, in a recent editorial called for the military to hire atheist and humanist chaplains to serve the troops.

Lawyers from the ACLU and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State are suing to prevent a Kentucky home for children from using tax-payer funds. The home is affiliated with the Baptist Church.

The leftist People for the American Way has added Bishop Nedd and In God We Trust to its "Right Wing Watch" enemies list. Perhaps we should consider this an "honor" instead of an "outrage."

The Hudson School District in New Hampshire is under fire from religious freedom activists for banning flyers that promote a vacation Bible school while allowing other similar community organization flyers to be distributed to school children.
